Log Lake bridge over the Yellow River was built in 1927.  The simple trestle bridge was closed by Eglin Air Force Base authorities in the early 1960s after a government vehicle fell through the deck. The bridge continued to be used by local hunters to access the Eglin Reservation for years afterwards until it finally fell into the river.
