HOLT, Fla., Nov. 29, 2018—There’s a risk of severe weather across the entire Mobile National Weather Service forecast area Saturday.
A storm system approaching form the west late in the week will bring a chance of strong-to-severe thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday.
According to the NWS, localized damaging wind gusts of 60 mph will be the primary threat and a brief short-lived tornado can’t be ruled out.
Widespread heavy rainfall is not expected with this system, though some minor nuisance flooding will remain possible during brief periods of heavier rain or where stronger rain cells linger over the same location, according to the NWS.
