HOLT, Fla., June 29, 2023—An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to Holt after receiving a call around 7:48 a.m. about a domestic violence incident on Cooper Lane today.

Once arriving on scene, the suspect ordered the deputy off the property, then ran, hopping fences before disappearing.

According to the sheriff’s office, the female victim had obvious injuries. She said the suspect beat her after she told him to leave.

The suspect is a white male in his mid-30s; about 5 feet, 8 inches tall; bald and wearing dark shorts and no shirt.

The sheriff’s office, with the help of the OCSO’s K9 and drone units, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and Okaloosa Correctional Institution K9s, searched for the man for several hours; however, he was not located and the search was discontinued by noon.

The case is ongoing.
