Best-looking cruiser contest

Florida Highway Patrol’s “best cruiser” submission in the American Association of State Troopers “Best Looking Cruiser” contest.

PANAMA CITY, Fla., July 20, 2023—The American Association of State Troopers is conducting its 10th annual national Best Looking Cruiser Contest now through July 31.

Voting for this year’s best-looking cruiser ends at noon July 31.

The Florida Highway Patrol is competing with 44 other participating state agencies as best-looking cruiser for 2024.

Last year, a Kentucky State Police cruiser took home the honors as “Best Looking Cruiser” and was featured on the cover of AAST’s “2023 America’s Best Looking Cruisers” wall calendar.

The contest began as a friendly competition between the state agencies and now proves to be a fun and engaging way to allow Florida’s community members to support and interact with FHP in a positive way.

This year’s contest will be tabulated through the Survey Monkey website.

Those wishing to cast a vote in the “2023 Best Looking Cruiser Contest” can access the website link through the AAST Facebook page or click on and scroll through the photos on the Survey Monkey website.

A dropdown menu at the bottom of the page allows the voter to pick a favorite cruiser.

Only one vote per user, per device, is allowed. Once a vote has been cast, the images are no longer available for viewing.

Agency rankings will be posted on the ASST Facebook page daily. As of 4:15 p.m. yesterday, Kentucky was again ranked as number one with 19,469 votes. Florida was holding fourth place with 10,920 votes.

Once the contest is over, calendars will be available for purchase at www.statetroopers.org beginning October 1. Calendar sales benefit the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of member troopers.
