
HOLT, Fla., Aug. 12, 2023—Dangerous heat values continue for the forecast area likely through the beginning of next week.
An excessive heat warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
The forecast high here is 101 degrees with a heat index value as high as 114 degrees. There’s a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
An excessive heat watch will be in effect tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tomorrow’s forecast is for a high of 100 degrees with a heat index value of 111 degrees and a 40 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Overnight relief from the high temperatures remained elusive last night. At 11 p.m., heat index values remained in the mid-to-high 80s and 90s with some areas reporting over 100 degrees.
Forecasted high for Monday will be around 99 degrees. Another excessive heat watch or warning will likely be issued.
According to the National Weather Service, heat index values will be around 110 to 117 degrees for much of the forecast area.
