HOLT, Fla., Aug. 28, 2023—A Crestview man has been arrested for breaking into a resident’s carport storage area in Holt Saturday.

Shawn Faulk, 48, was arrested for burglary and property damage.
According to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, a deputy responded to a 911 call around 5:15 a.m. to find Faulk with a hammer and flashlight at the Galliver Cutoff residence.
According to the victim, Faulk had been yelling at her to let him in the house from approximately midnight to 3:50 a.m.
When she refused, Faulk broke into her carport utility room and began to go through her personal items. He plugged in and turned on a leaf blower and damaged her front and side doors, walls, porch light and security camera with a hammer.
Estimated damage was approximately $500.
Faulk was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail with an additional charge for failure to appear. This is his third arrest this year. He was arrested in June for property damage and in July for failure to appear.
