Crestview officer injured in accident

CRESTVIEW, Fla., Nov. 2, 2023—A Crestview police officer responding to an emergency call received minor injuries in a three-car accident last night.

The accident happened at the intersection of Ferdon Boulevard and E. Griffin Street around 8 p.m, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The responding officer was traveling south on Ferdon Boulevard when he came upon congestion at the Griffin Street intersection, preventing vehicles from moving out of the officer’s path.

As a result, his SUV rear-ended a sedan which in turn was pushed into a pickup truck, according to the release.

The police officer, 29, was transported to Okaloosa Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
