TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to bypass some of the pre-boarding screening experience when flying. TSA PreCheck travelers, are not required to remove shoes, liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts.
IDEMIA is one of two approved PreCheck enrollment companies that facilitate enrollments and renewals on TSA’s behalf.
The TSA PreCheck enrollment program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA PreCheck. Once approved, travelers will receive a Known Traveler Number, or KTN, that needs to be added to an individual’s airline profile and reservations. Travels then will have the opportunity to use TSA PreCheck lanes with more than 80 participating airlines.
