
HOLT, Fla., Nov. 19, 2023—There is a potential for some strong-to-severe thunderstorms tomorrow night into Tuesday morning across the forecast area as a cold front moves through.
Severe storms that do develop will be capable of wind gusts up to 60 mph with a few tornadoes possible, according to the National Weather Service.
Northwest Florida is in a level 1 risk zone with areas to the west in Alabama and Mississippi in a more severe level 2 zone.
Timing for storms here is forecast between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the NWS, with the severe threat gradually diminishing through early Tuesday afternoon.
That said, the NWS says there is still some uncertainty in the timing of the storms and that it’s possible the risk could be extended eastward.

Rain chances continue through Friday.
Temperatures behind the cold front will top out in the low 60s with overnight lows in the mid 40s.
The Thanksgiving Day forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of rain with a high of 61 degrees and an overnight low of 47.
Shoppers heading out for Black Friday sales could see a 30 percent chance of rain before 7 a.m., then partly sunny skies with a high near 63 degrees.
