
HOLT, Fla., Jan. 11, 2024—Another round of potentially severe weather is forecast for tomorrow.
The entire Mobile forecast area is under a Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather. All hazards are possible: damaging wind gusts, large hail and a tornado or two, according to the National Weather Service.
Timing for this area is between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The big issue will be non-thunderstorm wind gusts, according to the NWS. A wind advisory is in effect tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the northwest Florida panhandle. Expect 20-30 mph southwest winds with 40-50 mph gusts.
Rains will begin late tonight and continue through tomorrow morning. Afterwards, clouds will scatter and skies will gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 73 degrees.
More rain is in the forecast for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Monday.
Expect a hard freeze Tuesday and Wednesday nights with lows around 22 and 27, respectively. Make sure now that pipes are wrapped, plants are either covered or brought inside and pets have a warm place to stay.
