
BAKER, Fla., Feb. 21, 2023—A motorcycle accident in Baker sent the driver to the hospital today.
The accident happened around 1:38 p.m. as the 71-year-old motorcycle driver from Cedar Falls, Iowa, was headed north on State Road 4, according to a news release by the Florida Highway Patrol.
He failed to notice a car stopped in front of him that was waiting to turn left onto Henley Lane, hitting the car, according to the release.
The motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital via helicopter.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Baker traffic on Hwy 4 was briefly stopped in both directions while the helicopter landed and loaded the patient.
