One arrested in Baker drug bust

BAKER, Fla., July 11, 2024—A narcotics search in Baker Monday uncovered trafficking amounts of illegal drugs.

During the execution of a search warrant, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Multi-agency Drug Task Force members, with the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Section, located a trafficking amount of fentanyl, cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, evidence of distribution and approximately 8 pounds of marijuana when they searched the residence.

Kevin Lee McKinney, 45, was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

The Multi-Agency Drug Task Force is comprised of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Crestview Police Department, Niceville Police Department and Fort Walton Beach Police Department. 

These agencies work cohesively to target, disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking and money laundering organizations in Okaloosa County.
