HOLT, Fla., July 28, 2024—The Holt Community Food Pantry aced its annual inspection by one of its food suppliers Wednesday.

Once a year, Feeding the Gulf Coast, affiliated with Feeding America, inspects the Holt pantry, one of its more than 400 community food distribution partners in its 24-county region in south Alabama, south Mississippi and the Florida panhandle.

This year’s inspection was not only perfect—with zero negative comments—but the inspector praised the Holt pantry for its organization, according to manager Donna Ash.

“I want to give a shout-out to the volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the pantry in tip-top shape,” she said.

The pantry has been receiving food for distribution from Feeding the Gulf Coast for the past 12-13 years, according to Ash.

The Holt Community Food Pantry, located at 521 Southside Dr., is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
