SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla., Feb. 3, 2025—A Pensacola woman was sentenced to 21 years in the Florida state prison for causing a fatal accident in Santa Rosa County in 2022.

Elizabeth Jasmine Bradberry, 20, was sentenced as part of a plea deal in open court Friday.
Charges include:
- one count fleeing or eluding law enforcement causing death—21 years in state prison followed by five years’ probation
- one count fleeing or eluding law enforcement causing great bodily harm—21 years in state prison followed by five years’ probation, served concurrently
- one count vehicular homicide—15 years, served concurrently
- one count child neglect causing great bodily harm—15 years served concurrently
On July 17, 2022, Bradberry was driving a stolen 2018 Toyota Rav4 southbound on State Road 87 in Santa Rosa County. The Toyota had four occupants, including a 17-year-old female from Pensacola.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. Instead, Bradberry fled, reaching speeds more than 100 mph on State Road 89.
As the deputy disengaged from the pursuit, Bradberry’s car crashed into a Volvo that was attempting to make a left-hand turn into a church parking lot.
Because of the speed of the Toyota, the 73-year-old female Volvo driver did not see the Toyota and turned in front of Bradberry’s car, according to the release.
The front of the Toyota collided with the right side of the Volvo, killing the driver.
The Toyota flipped multiple times and came to rest in the church parking lot after hitting an unoccupied parked church van.
The Toyota occupants, three from Pensacola, were seriously injured, according to the initial FHP news release. Bradberry was airlifted to a local hospital. The 17-year-old from Jay suffered critical injuries.
All Toyota occupants were transported to local hospitals. Bradberry was arrested and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail.

well I know this young lady! She’s actually is a very nice young lady. I actually know some of her family so if you don’t think that it doesn’t hurt her family it does. It sucks because two families are broken apart one is going to prison one has passed away! I hope the best for both families I understand tragedy because my mom was murdered! And I don’t feel like she got the Justice she deserved 30 years was nothing considering he took her life maliciously! I know for a fact the lady feels bad she’s been going through a lot of stuff since this has happened in her life has been completely turned upside down one bad decision made all this! I pray for both families to find peace and both families stay strong! ❤️🙏🏽💯
