
HOLT, Fla., Feb. 15, 2025—Severe storms are likely tonight into early tomorrow morning as a cold front passes through the area.
Most of the forecast area has been elevated to a level 3 out of 5 for severe weather.
The northern part of north Okaloosa County falls into the level 3 risk area.
Potential threats include 70 mph-plus damaging winds and strong EF2 or higher tornadoes in the level 3 area.
Timing for this area is forecast to be after midnight, between 1-6 a.m. tomorrow.
According to the National Weather Service in Mobile, an intense squall line of thunderstorms will move across the forecast area late tonight.
The line of storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and embedded tornadoes.
There is also a chance a few storms developing just ahead of the main line. These will also carry a tornado risk, according to the NWS.

Additionally, the forecast area is under a wind advisory from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Southwest winds will be between 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Behind the storm, skies will be sunny with a high around 67°. Lows will drop into the mid 30s tomorrow and Monday night. Highs for President’s Day will be near 60°.
Rain is back in the forecast Tuesday night into Wednesday with temperatures dropping below freezing Wednesday night.Thursday will be sunny near 50°. Thursday night will be mostly clear and cold with a low around 25°.
