Storm risk increased for Tuesday.

HOLT, Fla., March 2, 2025—The Storm Prediction Center has elevated the severe weather risk for northwest Florida to a level 2 out of 5 for Tuesday into Wednesday.

Damaging straight-line winds are the primary threat with a tornado or two possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Timing of the severe weather for Okaloosa County will be before daybreak Wednesday, according to the forecast.

In addition to the storms, non-thunderstorm winds will be breezy during the day Tuesday with wind gusts as high as 40 mph possibly requiring a wind advisory to be issued.

Behind the storms, skies will be sunny Wednesday and Thursday with a high near 71 and 62 degrees respectively. Lows Wednesday and Thursday night will be around 40 degrees.

Rain enters the forecast again Friday night through Saturday night.
