ARLINGTON, Va., March 19, 2025—A limited quantity of frozen meals are being voluntarily recalled due to the possible presence of “wood-like material.”

Nestlé USA is recalling Lean Cuisine® and Stouffer’s® frozen meals found at Walmart and other retailers.

To date, one potential choking incident has been recorded, according to a news release.

Limited to a quantity of batches, the meals were produced between August 2024 to March 2025 and distributed to major U.S. retailers between September 2024 and March 2025.

Consumers who bought these meals should return them to the store where they were purchased for a replacement or full refund, according to the release.

Nestlé USA is actively investigating the source of the wood-like material and is working and cooperating with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture on this issue.
