Gulf Breeze man arrested for threatening someone for littering

DESTIN, Fla., Aug. 4, 2025—A Gulf Breeze man is facing felony charges after threatening another driver for littering in Destin earlier this week.

Caleb Colt Mack, 23, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call after an Alabama visitor reported a road rage incident.

Mack became enraged after seeing the victim tossing her cigarette butt out the window of her car around noon Tuesday, according to an OCSO Facebook post.

When she and her family pulled up to a red light at U.S. Highway 98 and Airport Road, she said Mack pulled up beside her yelling, then pulled out a firearm with an optic and mounted light and pointed at her while her teenage children were in the back seat.

She says she feared for their lives.

Following a be-on-the-lookout call, deputies spotted Mack behind the wheel and made a traffic stop. He admitted producing his firearm but says he never pointed it at anyone.

Deputies seized a 9mm Glock with an optic and mounted light he had in his waistband.

Mack is being held in the Okaloosa County Jail.
