HOLT, Fla., Oct. 7, 2025—A pickup truck and camper jackknifed on Interstate 10 eastbound around 6:55 a.m. near mile marker 51 today.
The driver, a 35-year-old Navarre man, was not injured in the accident.
While traveling eastbound on I-10, the trailer began to sway and the driver lost control, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The camper jackknifed and flipped on its left side facing north onto the guardrail of the outside lane blocking traffic. The white Dodge Durango pickup remained upright facing west.
Although traffic was allowed to move slowly through the scene using the inside traffic lane, the accident blocked the outside eastbound lane, backing up traffic between the 48 and 49 mile markers.

Once the camper was rolled upright, the back end remained hung up on the guardrail with its rear wheels suspended above the roadway.
A rocking motion by a large tow truck finally dislodged the camper’s end from the guardrail around 9:15 a.m. Traffic was briefly stopped as a tow truck removed the camper from the outside travel lane.
The blocked lane reopened around 9:40 a.m., according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
