Bitterly cold Sunday, Monday

HOLT, Fla., Dec. 12, 2025—A strong cold front is expected to sweep through the area Sunday.

Dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills are expected for Sunday night, according to Mobile’s National Weather Service.

Some scattered showers are expected along an approaching cold front late tomorrow night into early Sunday morning ahead of bitterly cold temperatures and brisk wind gusts with wind chills in the teens.

According to forecasters in Mobile, these temperatures could be the coldest of the year.

For Sunday, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers before noon and patchy dense fog before 9 a.m.

Mostly cloudy skies through the mid-morning will gradually clear. High is expected to be near 59°. A breezy north 5-10 mph wind will increase to 15-20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Sunday night will be clear with a low around 25°. A blustery north wind at 10-20 mph and 30 mph gusts could bring wind chills between 15-8°.

Monday will be sunny with a high near 51° and a 5-10 mph wind. Widespread frost is possible after midnight with a low around 26° and a calm wind.

Patchy frost is forecast before 9 a.m. Tuesday with sunny skies and a high near 60°.
