Rain tonight, tomorrow

HOLT, Fla., Jan. 2, 2026—Rain moves back into the forecast tonight into tomorrow ahead of a cold front.

The Storm Prediction Center is calling for a low-end level 1 out of 5 chance of severe thunderstorm activity across the Florida panhandle tomorrow.

Weather impacts could include damaging straight-line wind gusts, large hail and a possible tornado in tomorrow’s strongest storms.

Location for heaviest storm activity is generally east of the Interstate 65 corridor, according to Mobile’s National Weather Service.

Once the cold front moves through, expect drier weather through mid-week.

Today’s forecast calls for a slight chance of afternoon rain showers and a high around 71 degrees.
