
HOLT, Fla., Jan. 29, 2026—An extreme cold watch will be in effect beginning Saturday at midnight until noon Sunday due to an arctic air mass that will bring dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills Saturday into Sunday.
Tomorrow’s high will be around 62 degrees with increasing clouds before arctic air moves into the area late tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours.
Lows tomorrow will drop below freezing again to about 27 degrees. Saturday’s high will only be 35 degrees with a low around 17 degrees, the coldest night of the season.
Gusty northwest winds are expected Saturday around 15-20 mph with gusts as high as 30-40 mph in spots driving wind chill values as low as 20 degrees during daylight hours.
Northwest winds will continue after the sun goes down, driving wind chills to just above zero.
Sunday will be sunny with a high near 43 degrees and a low around 23 degrees.
Things gradually begin to warm up after Monday’s below-freezing temperatures—Tuesday will be near 61 degrees; Wednesday around 64 and Thursday near 56 degrees.
