Valentine’s Day at the Crestview History Museum features dog adoptions, K-9s, more

CRESTVIEW, Fla., Feb. 12, 2026—The Crestview History Museum will welcome families and individuals and their pooches to “Puppy Love on the Porch” Saturday.

Crestview’s Animal Services shelter will have some dogs looking for a fur-ever home on hand during the celebration of Puppy Love from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Officers—both two- and four-legged—from the Crestview Police Department’s K-9 Division, will be there to greet fans and answer questions about the division and what its officers do to protect the community.

The Cultural Services Division, which runs the Bush House, and the Historic Preservation Board, which operates the history museum, invite the public to bring their own K-9s to Puppy Love on the Porch and visit the museum. Bowls of water and free dog biscuits will be available.

Visitors are requested to please assure their dogs are leashed during their visit are comfortable around other people and dogs.

Plastic grocery bags will be available for dog waste if needed during the visit.

The Crestview History Museum is in the historic 100-year-old Bush House located at 198 South Wilson St. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. most second Saturdays of the month. Admission and parking are free.
