CRESTVIEW, Fla., March 11, 2026—Antioch Road will be temporarily closed beginning March 16-23.
The road will be closed just south of the P.J. Adams Parkway intersection as crews construct the connection to the new P.J. Adams Parkway alignment.
Drivers needing access to Antioch Road south of P.J. Adams should follow the detour via Wildhorse Drive. Detour signage will guide drivers through the work zone.
This work is part of the $72.7 million Interstate 10 at P.J. Adams Parkway interchange project. The project represents the first new interchange added to the I-10 corridor in decades.
When complete, the future Exit 53 will improve safety and reduce congestion by providing an alternative I-10 access point for travelers in north Crestview, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
