HOLT, Fla., March 3, 2017—The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a tornado watch for this area until 1 p.m., a wind advisory until 10 p.m. and a severe thunderstorm warning until 10:15 a.m. with 60 mph gusts.
A heavy line of thunderstorms moving toward the east is expected to produce sustained winds from 20 to 30 mph. Additionally, this storm could produce nearly 2 inches of rain.
While the tornado watch is in effect until 1 p.m., the NWS Mobile predicts strong weather activity in the Holt area through 4 p.m., so the watch may be extended.
