The Baker Block Museum is hosting a book signing and dedication today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the museum.
The book, The Escambia Farms Community: A Pictorial History of the Project and the Community, by Judy Cadenhead, tells the history of the farming community primarily in pictures.
Approved in 1936, the Escambia Farms Cooperative was established and included a co-op store, school, housing and other facilities to support more than 80 families over 95 acres.
Cadenhead will be on hand at the museum to sign her book.
