HOLT, Fla., May 22, 2017–The National Weather Service in Mobile is predicting multiple rounds of heavy rainfall late tonight through Tuesday night.
Rainfall totals of 2-to-3 inches is expected with some areas possibly receiving upwards of 5 inches.
High winds could also be a threat.
Rains combined with moist, saturated soil from Saturday’s storms will bring an increased risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas with poor drainage and quick increases in streams and small rivers, according to the NWS.
People living in the lower areas of Log Lake Road and along the Yellow River could see an increase of flooding.
A flash flood watch remains in effect through Tuesday night.
More rain is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.
