HOLT, Fla., May 16, 2018–Baker Rocks is celebrating its one-year anniversary May 19 at the Baker Block Museum.
The Kids Day Blanket Throw Down and Rock Trade is from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Heritage Park on the museum grounds.
Admission is free and lunch will be provided by Baker’s Golan Assembly of God Church.
Other activities include a dunking booth, bounce house and puppet show.
The highlight of the event will be the rock trading; however, there are some basic ground rules:
- Rocks must have been painted by the participants to trade.
- Those who own special rocks not intended for trading are asked to leave those home. Only bring rocks to trade.
“We ask that if some of your rocks are too precious to trade with ordinary rocks, then you leave those for another time,” said Heather Bryson, event coordinator. “No one will be turned away [from trading], especially a child.”
