School buses crash in Crestview

CRESTVIEW, Fla., Jan. 10, 2018—The Crestview Police Department is investigating a crash involving two school buses at one of the city’s busiest intersections earlier this afternoon.

Seven high school students were transported by EMS for evaluation, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Reports were received at approximately 2:15 p.m. that the buses collided at the intersection of State Road 85 and U.S. Hwy. 90.

The intersection of the city’s major north-south and east-west arteries was partially blocked as Crestview Police and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies worked the scene.

Some fluids were reported leaking from either or both buses.

The scene was cleared at 3:47 p.m. and traffic resumed flowing smoothly.

The accident remains under investigation. No further information is currently available.
