CRESTVIEW, Fla., April 19, 2019—Crestview police responded to multiple 911 calls from employees at the Popeyes Restaurant Thursday afternoon regarding a fight between two employees.
Arrested were Tanya Shantae Hutchinson, 20, from Crestview, on two counts of felony aggravated battery involving a deadly weapon and one count of disorderly conduct.
Also arrested was Dedria D. Henry, 18, from Crestview, for battery and disorderly conduct.
The Crestview Police Department responded to Popeyes Restaurant on South Ferdon Boulevard shortly before 4:30 p.m.
When they arrived, the two employees were still fighting. Hutchinson was armed with a box opener utility knife.
Other employees who attempted to intervene in the fight between the two were injured.
A manager was pushed backwards by Henry and sustained injuries to an ankle while the other was cut in the hand with the box opener by Hutchinson.
Police arrested both employees.
The manager was treated on scene and the second employee was transported to the hospital by Okaloosa EMS with cuts to the fingers and hands.
It’s unknown at this time what prompted the fight.
