CRESTVIEW, Fla., May 13, 2019—A Crestview man is behind bars after abusing the ducks at Twin Hills Park Saturday.

Joshua Logan Demers, 38, was arrested for disorderly conduct and animal cruelty, according to a Crestview Police Department news release.
Shortly after 6 p.m. May 11, the police department responded to Twin Hills after receiving multiple calls from citizens who saw a man grabbing ducks by the neck and throwing them into the water or against the railing of the walking bridge crossing the pond.
When officers arrived on scene, Demers continued abusing the ducks and was drawing a crowd of angry onlookers.
He was promptly detained.
Witnesses provided cellular phone video recordings of Demers attacking and throwing the waterfowl.
According to witnesses, Demers also grabbed a pair of ducklings, separating them from their mother.
Injuries to the ducks were non-life-threatening and they were returned back to the water without further incident, according to the release.
