HOLT, Fla., July 22, 2019—The tropical low-pressure system in the Atlantic has moved over the Bahamas into the Caribbean Sea.
Identified by the National Hurricane Center as Invest 94, the system is bringing showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Bahamas and the adjacent waters.
The chance of further development of this system into a tropical depression or storm is low at 30 percent during the next 48 hours or five days.
Environmental conditions are expected to be marginally conducive for development during the next couple of days while the low moves west-northwest to northwest at around 15 mph.
Additional development is not anticipated after that time due to strong upper-level winds, according to the NHC.
The remainder of the Atlantic basin is quiet.
