HOLT, Fla., Aug. 2, 2019—Florida’s 2019 back-to-school sales tax holiday begins tomorrow.
The five-day sales tax holiday runs from Aug. 1 to Aug. 6, three days longer than last year.
According to the Florida Retail Foundation, this sales tax holiday is Florida’s second busiest shopping day behind Black Friday.
During this sales tax holiday period, qualifying items exempt from tax include:
- Certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item
- Clothing, footwear and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item
- Computers and certain accessories selling for $1,000 or less per item when purchased for noncommercial or personal use.
