Heat index values will range from 106-to-112 degrees across the forecast area from mid-morning through late afternoon Tuesday.
This area can expect a heat index of 110 degrees.
A heat advisory remains in effect through Tuesday evening until 7 p.m.
By Wednesday, this area will see some relief as indices begin to fall to 102-to-107 degrees across the area.
Prolonged exposure to these conditions can increase a risk of heat-related illness, according to the NWS.
Rain chances increase as the week progresses with a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night.
