Holt children write to Santa Claus in 1912. Etta Sanders, Mary Bell Courtney, Frances Johnson and Bertha Gavin soften the blow before listing their Christmas wishes. The North Pole elves must have been busy making dolls with black hair, carriages and sewing boxes to go to Holt that year.
And then there’s the boys who get right down to business.
All letters came from theĀ Pensacola Journal, December 1912.
Merry Christmas, from Holt Enterprise News!
