School District updates school lunch program

Okaloosa Co SchoolHOLT, Fla., March 20, 2020—Additional access to school meals began today.

In an effort to reach more students, Okaloosa County School Superintendent Marcus Chambers authorized additional meal service for the Baker School community using school buses.

Meals being delivered to Holt, Milligan and Blackman may be picked up at these locations and times:

  • First Baptist Church of Holt, 7:50 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.
  • Milligan First Assembly of God, 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
  • Blackman Volunteer Fire Department, 8:22 a.m. and 11:22 a.m.

The bus will arrive at each stop for breakfast and return for lunch and will remain at each location for 10 minutes.

The district will continue to provide breakfast and lunch for all school-age students for the duration of school closures.

Grab-and-go meals will continue to be provided at Baker School Monday through Friday from 7:30-11:30 a.m.

Students may pick up both meals at Baker during the breakfast pick-up if they choose to do so.

Meals will only be distributed to school-age children and those children must be present to receive meals.
