HOLT, Fla., Dec. 16, 2020—Virus numbers continue to rise in Florida and Okaloosa County according to daily numbers from the Florida Department of Health.
Florida posted more than 11,000 new virus cases today—11,541—bringing the total to 1,155,335.
Okaloosa County broke the 11,000 threshold by adding 170 new cases today. Additionally, after four days of holding at 185 deaths, six new virus-related deaths were added, bringing the total to 191.
All the north Okaloosa communities, except for Milligan, added new cases to their totals.
Holt added two, Baker added eight, Laurel Hill added six and Crestview added 45. Crestview has the second-highest numbers, behind the Fort Walton Beach area.
