INTERSTATE 10, Okaloosa County, Fla., March 22, 2021–A pedestrian was killed on Interstate 10 early this morning a couple miles west of the Crestview exit.

About 4:15 a.m., a 29-year-old man from St. Cloud, Minn., was walking west partially on the shoulder and partially in the outside travel lane on the interstate near mile marker 54 when a westbound car hit him, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Okaloosa County EMS, according to the release.

The 59-year-old male driver was from DeFuniak Springs. There were no other passengers in the car.
