Severe weather possible tomorrow

HOLT, Fla., Jan. 8, 2022—The forecast area is under a Level 1 storm risk for tomorrow sometime between noon and 9 p.m.

According to the National Weather Center, rain chances for tomorrow increase considerably as numerous showers and thunderstorms spread over the area ahead of an approaching strong cold front.

Isolated severe storms will be possible across the area during the afternoon and into the evening with a few storms capable of producing locally damaging wind gusts.

A brief tornado spin-up also cannot be ruled out, according to the NWS.

Temperatures tonight will not fall much and will, in fact, slowly climb throughout the night, according to the NWS. Highs tomorrow will be in the low-to-mid 70s.

Behind the cold front, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s highs will be considerably cooler, in the high 50s with evening lows in the mid 30s.
