HOLT, Fla., April 22, 2022—Two Texas men were arrested on Interstate 10 in Holt yesterday for a number of charges after a Florida Highway Patrol traffic stop.

Arrested were Anthony Vital Arteaga, 24, and Isaac Steven Guerra, 21 for fraud, possession of a vehicle with altered numbers, dealing in stolen property, larceny and marijuana possession.
A parked Florida Highway Patrol trooper saw a white Chrysler 300 and a black Dodge Challenger traveling eastbound on I-10 with similarly matching Texas temporary tags that were not in the current temp tag format or matched vehicle information, according to a FHP news release.
After requesting backup, three FHP troopers and a Criminal Interdiction Unit trooper stopped the two cars near the Holt exit ramp at mile marker 45.
Investigation indicated the two cars had counterfeit vehicle identification numbers and were reported stolen in Houston the day prior.
The CIU trooper detected a strong marijuana odor when he stopped the Challenger. The driver admitted he was in possession of marijuana and had a firearm in the trunk.
A search uncovered approximately 318 grams of marijuana, along with a Springfield Hellcat 9 mm handgun.
