
HOLT, Fla., June 19, 2022—More heat will be the norm next week as temps rise above 100 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday will see temperatures above 100 degrees, forecast at 102 and 103, respectively.
Tonight, after the sun goes down, Mobile National Weather Service forecasters say this evening may actually feel fairly nice outside due to a low dew point and a light easterly wind.
Low tonight is forecast for 74 degrees with mostly clear skies. No rain forecast, according to the NWS.
Beginning tomorrow, a gradual temperature increase begins. Highs tomorrow should reach the mid-90s.
Humidity begins to return as well by tomorrow afternoon. The result will be high heat indices back in the 100- to 105-degree range tomorrow.
Highs are forecast to reach 97 degrees Tuesday, and 102 degrees Wednesday, 103 Thursday and 101 Friday, but with a predicted lower humidity.
Very hot temperatures and low humidity values, could lead to an elevated fire danger through midweek.
Looking out toward the end of the week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday currently have a 20-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
