CRESTVIEW, Fla., Sept. 24, 2022—A Niceville man was killed in a traffic accident while walking on State Road 85 early this morning north of Crestview.

Around 2:25 a.m., the 37-year-old man was walking east toward Auburn Road where he crossed the right turn lane of the northbound side of Hwy 85, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A vehicle traveling north in the right turn lane hit the pedestrian. The force of the impact threw him onto the eastbound shoulder of the highway, where he landed face down, according to the release.
