NAVARRE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2022—The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be at Navarre Park through Oct. 3.

The traveling 3/5-scale of the Vietnam Memorial that is located in Washington, D.C., stands 6 feet tall at the center and covers nearly 300 feet end to end.

By comparison, the original memorial stands more than 10 feet tall at its highest point and covers 2 acres.

The traveling memorial’s more than 58,000 names of military members appear as they’re represented on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington.

According to the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall’s website, the display was created to give people who may never visit the nation’s capital a chance to pay their respects to friends and family members lost during the Vietnam war.

The memorial in D.C., honoring the men and women who served in the Vietnam War, chronologically lists the names of those who gave their lives in service to their country.
