Santa Claus is coming to town…on a fire truck

HOLT, Fla., Dec. 16, 2022—Santa Claus is making the rounds in Holt tomorrow with the help of the Holt Fire District.

Santa will be riding on Holt Fire Engine No. 33 with lights and siren, followed by one of his helpers in the Chief’s vehicle.

This will be the first time Holt Fire District has assisted Santa on his route through Holt.

Santa will also be at the Dollar General tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pictures. Parents must provide their own cameras.

The Santa Route is as follows:

  • Beginning from Station 31, right (west) on Hwy 90 toward Milton
  • Left on Cooper Lane
  • Across Hwy 90 (north) to Bryant Bridge Cutoff Road
  • Right on Bryant Bridge Road
  • Merge onto John Road
  • Left on Cooper Street
  • Right on 4th Avenue
  • Left on Poplar Head Church Road
  • Right on Creola Lane
  • Right on Adams Lane/Griffith Road
  • Left on Springtime Avenue
  • Right on 3rd Avenue
  • Left on Main Street
  • Right on Hwy 90
  • Left on Johnson Street
  • Left on Southside Drive
  • Left on Summertime Drive
  • Right on Hwy 90
  • Left on Galliver Cutoff
  • Left on Griffith Mill Road
  • Right on Lighthouse Church Road
  • Right on Galliver Cutoff
  • Right on Blackberry Circle
  • Right on Galliver Cutoff
  • Left on Country Living Road – turn around
  • Left on Galliver Cutoff
  • Left on Hwy 90
  • Right on Haybarn Road – turn around
  • Right on Hwy 90
  • Right on Durbin Lane – turn around
  • Right on Hwy 90
  • Right on Wilkerson Bluff Road
  • Right on second Horseshoe Lane entrance
  • Right on Wilkerson Bluff Road/Trawick Creek Road
  • Right on Broxson Road
  • Left on Log Lake Road – turn around at River’s Edge Campground
  • Return to Station 31

Santa returns to the North Pole to get ready for Christmas Eve.

From “downtown” Holt, Santa’s route continues to Galliver Cutoff/Griffith Mill Road, back to Galliver Cutoff and eventually down Wilkerson Bluff/Trawick Creek Road/Broxson Road to Log Lake Road.

  1. Driving home around 5 .. 5:30 pm on Wilkerson-Bluff Rd with my granddaughter and realized it was not an accident … she got out of my car and was pleasantly given a candy cane and a plush bear … you put a very big smile on her face … want to Thank You ….
