AUBURN, Wash.—The 2025 T-Rex World Championship Races took place June 29 at the Emerald Downs horse track.

According to the racetrack’s website, what began in 2017 as a fun local team-building activity for TriGuard Pest Control has grown into an annual tradition.

This year, ESPN announced the races will be part of the network’s coverage for the first time, set to be aired sometime later in the summer.

Race categories included kids, men’s, women’s, “Dino Dinos” for people 55 years old and older, as well as a special race that started overhead with three racers jumping from an airplane, parachuting onto the track and finishing the race on foot.

All race participants had to wear an inflatable T-Rex costume while competing. Races were held throughout the day in between regular horse races.
