I-10 resurfacing project completed, SR 85 work in Crestview continues

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla., Sept. 19, 2025—The multi-million-dollar project to resurface Interstate 10 in Okaloosa County west of Crestview has been completed.

The Florida Department of Transportation milled and resurfaced the interstate between mile markers 56 and 53, from west of the Yellow River east to just past the Shoal River bridge.

Project improvements included replacing joints on the Yellow River bridge, replacing guardrail, drainage upgrades and ramp widening.

Resurfacing work continues on State Road 85/Ferdon Boulevard from Hospital Drive to U.S. Highway 90 in Crestview.

Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures on Ferdon Boulevard Sunday through Thursday between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for striping operations.
