
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., Aug. 30, 2026—Law enforcement is investigating an online threat directed at two middle schools in Okaloosa County.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Okaloosa County School District are aware of the social media posts circulating on TikTok that contains a threatening message directed toward students at Pryor and Bruner middle schools in Fort Walton Beach, according to an OCSO news release.
School resource officers, patrol deputies and the OCSO Investigations Division are actively working with the school district to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the post and to determine its potential credibility, according to the release.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about this post, the account that created it or the person responsible to contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS or via the P3 Tips mobile app.
They’re also asking anyone who might have additional screenshots or information that may assist in the investigation to please preserve it and provide it to law enforcement.
Deputies and investigators are actively working to determine who is behind the post and whether any actual threat exists.
Additional information will be provided when appropriate as the investigation develops, according to OCSO.
