HOLT, Fla., Feb. 10, 2018–Heavy rain, winds and possible tornadoes are in the forecast for today and tomorrow according to the National Weather Service in Mobile.
Periods of rain with isolated strong-to-severe storms with damaging wind and brief tornadoes over the entire area are likely today.
Timing of these storms is from mid morning through mid afternoon.
Locally heavy rainfall is possible today with the main threat coming from damaging straight-line winds and perhaps a tornado, according to the NWS.
Periods of showers and storms will continue through tonight, as the localized heavy rain threat continues.
Highs today will be in the low 70s with a low of 65 tonight.
Tomorrow is expected to be another rainy day. Periods of rain with isolated strong-to-severe storms with damaging winds and brief tornadoes are possible again on Sunday with locally heavy rainfall over the entire area.
Minor flooding of area rivers and isolated flash flooding could occur.
The main threat Sunday will be primarily from damaging winds, according to the NWS. Some thunderstorms, possibly strong-to-severe, could occur during the afternoon.
Highs again in the low 70s are expected for Sunday.
