A Milton student was charged with disturbing the peace after disrupting a class by falsely shouting about a school shooter today.
The school resource officer responded after a student knocked on a classroom door and yelled, “school shooter,” three times at Milton High School.
The teacher opened the door to find the student standing in the hallway, laughing at his joke. There were 13 witnesses to the incident.
The student was immediately taken into custody and arrested.
He was transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail where he was booked and processed. The teen was charged with the one count of disturbing the peace during a school function, a second-degree misdemeanor.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Rosa County School Board has a zero tolerance policy related to these types of incidents.

He’s not to old to get his backside torn up with a good ole fashion switch, about 1/2″ in diameter. He hurt a lot of people by scaring them badly, make the punishment fit the crime.
