WALTON COUNTY, March 23, 2018–Interstate 10 was closed in both directions for more than 12 hours today after a livestock tractor trailer overturned late Thursday evening.
The interstate was closed between Walton County Road 285, exit 70, and U.S. Highway 331, exit 85.
All 149 yearlings were accounted for, although some were killed as a result of the crash.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Animal Shelter rounded up 66 cows with the assistance private citizens handy with horses and ropes.
